Is your car showing a Fault code of 5E20?
This is the ABS Pump and it is a very common fault for the following vehicles:

Dashboard Lights Example
If your BMW ABS Pump Module is faulty then your ACS / DCS (traction control) lights will be illuminated on the dashboard and you will be unable to turn them off. If you have taken your car for a diagnostic check already then you would have the following fault code; 5E20 – HYDRAULIC PRESSURE SENSOR INTERNAL
This fault code means that your ABS pump Module unit will need looking at and replacing, the main dealer are currently charging over £1500 + fitting for a replacement unit.
