BG Treatments – Restore engine efficiency, performance, and minimise engine wear between servicing

BM Automotive Solutions do this by carrying out the “3 Can Engine Service Kit” This is the same method for both petrol and diesel engines and the price is the same. However the products do differ as they have been designed to exclusively work with either petrol or diesel engines. (These are no generic additives!)

Petrol Service Kit

BG EPR™ Engine Performance Restoration, PN 109, softens and dissolves hard-to-remove deposits from piston rings

BG MOA,® PN 110, Engine oil supplement, prevents engine oil thickening under even the most severe driving conditions

BG 44K,® PN 208, Fuel system cleaner, quickly and effectively cleans the entire fuel system

Diesel Service Kit

BG EPR™ Engine Performance Restoration, PN 109, softens and dissolves hard-to-remove deposits from piston rings

BG DOC, PN, neutralizes acids and acid corrosion, reduces friction and wear on engine parts, stabilizes viscosity, and prevents sludge through increased oxidation control and soot scatter

BG 244, PN, BG 244 will safely and effectively remove diesel fuel system deposits from combustion chambers, injectors, and the entire fuel system. It restores fuel flow and economy, reduces exhaust emissions, smoothes idle and helps to avoid costly repairs.

You can add these “3 CAN” treatments to any Petrol or Diesel Service. Alternatively the Fuel Cleaners, BG44k and BG244 can be added at any time along with a tank of fuel.

BG Induction Clean for all BMW and Mini Engines

Together with BG products BM Automotive Solutions are proud to offer engine induction cleaning.

What is an induction clean and do I need to get one done?

Modern engines have extended service intervals to make vehicle purchasing seem more desirable with lower long term service costs, and also to minimize the inconvenience of regular servicing. However we are now starting to see the negative side effects of long life servicing.

Engine oil not only lubricates your engine but it also absorbers carbon, as the oil ages and the miles build the oil starts to become less effective. If the oil is not absorbing the carbon it has to go somewhere else. The carbon will work its way past pistons and into breather systems and together with EGR technology will end up clogging both the inlet system on the car and the exhaust system on the car, eventually leading to:

  • A loss of power,
  • Rough cold running,
  • EGR faults,
  • Emission related warning lights and fault codes,
  • Turbo failures including variable vane turbo sticking and seizing due to carbon build up
  • Complete engine failure.

All of which can be very expensive to repair and often involve the engine being stripped down and cleaned manually.

The use of non-BMW approved oil will accelerate this process even further.

Is my car effected?

Due to the nature of design, Diesel engines are more effected, diesel produces more carbon during combustion and together with ever tightening emission laws can cause carbon to build up as low as 60k miles.
Direct injection petrol engines, older petrol engines used to benefit from petrol cleaning the inlet valves but with the change to direct injection this has been lost. As a consequence to this carbon can now be found on the inlet valves of petrol engines, typically produced after 2007.

Mini Cooper S models 2006- ( R56 ). Cooper S models produced after 2006 ( Turbo charged models ) are direct injection and suffer from carbon build up on the inlet valves. This has been noted as low as 40k miles for cars confined to urban stop-start style driving.

The good news is there is a service that can be carried out along side your regular service that can clean the carbon build up before it starts to become a problem.

BG induction clean is a cleaning process where a specially designed cleaner is injected at controlled intervals into the intake manifold of the engine. The cleaner targets carbon build up and over the course of 2 hours breaks the carbon down burns the carbon off safely resulting in a cleaner and more efficient engine.

The clean targets :

  • EGR Valves
  • Throttle bodies
  • Inlet valves
  • Piston and piston rings
  • Exhaust lambda sensors
  • Exhaust DPF ( Diesel particulate filter )
  • Variable Vane Turbo Chargers
